American Flags in all East Side Union Classrooms

East Side Union High School District is proud to announce that effective at the end of the semester all classrooms will display the American flag. Over 850 flags have been ordered to cover the absence of our flag waving in the classroom.

We want our students to always keep in mind the importance of patriotism, honor and the contributions of those who have given their lives for our country.

This initiative will fulfill our Education Code responsibilities.I am extremely happy to learn that in a short time all our classrooms will display and honor the flag.

With our growing immigrant population, it is important to ensure that the values of freedom and patriotism be part of their everyday classroom activity, stated Esperanza Zendejas, Ed.D.
