Learning how to buy the right teapot

Teapot choices come in so many types, colors and shapes available today for us "tea grannies" to choose from. When you are in the market to purchase a teapot, you have to know exactly what your desires are when it comes to brewing your tea. You should make sure that the size of the teapot, which you choose, would be ample enough for the amount of tea you intend to make.

The next important step should be to make sure the teapot spout is long enough to pour a perfect cup of tea. You must check to see that the spout has a big enough diameter to pour the tea in the cup freely.

The teapot that you choose can be made from several different types of material. A glass teapot should be made of pyrex, as the tea tends to stay much hotter longer.

A ceramic teapot could also be another option, however I prefer an English teapot. The tea that is brewed in an old fashioned "Brown Betty" tastes so much better and definitely gets better flavor with age.

The final choice that I am aware of, is a stainless steel teapot. I advise that you make sure it is stainless steel and not aluminum,as there is contraversy over aluminum. A stainless steel teapot is very good as the tea stays hot for much longer then your average teapot.
